Overlooking Toulon, majestic Mont-Faron offers a spectacular point of view of the city and the sea as far as the eye can see.
This calcareous summit which peaks in 580m of height overlooks Toulon and unwinds at its feet a protected forest of about 1,100 hectares.
Besides, as the site is classified "a natural protected site", hunting is forbidden.
A cable car, quite rare in urban areas, allows you to reach the summit and discover the magnificent panorama. A strategic and symbolic place of the City's history, Mount Faron shelters the Memorial to the landings in Provence (Museum of Beaumont Tower), military forts, a chapel and a belvedere. Another point of interest of this atypical place is Faron Zoo, specialized in the breeding and the reproduction of big cats, gathering more than thirty species.
